Before coming to WSU, Yufeng obtained his Masters Degree at University of Texas - Pan American (UTPA) with Zhijun Qiao. Together they worked on image analysis research with a specific focus on radar imaging. He graduated from WSU spring of 2019 with a PhD dissertation focused on medical imaging, and Yuan Wang as a coadvisor.
After graduating, he accected a postdoc position at USC in the lab of Wensha Yang and later moved to Baltimore, Maryland for another Postdoc.
